Rolex Submariner No Date 124060
Known as No-Date Submariner (41mm)
The 124060 is the no-date Submariner, the cleanest expression of the tool watch that made Rolex a household name. When Rolex reworked the entire Submariner line in 2020, this is the reference that replaced the long-running 114060. It grew from 40mm to 41mm, picked up the newer caliber 3230, and kept the one thing purists care about most: a symmetrical black dial with no date window and no Cyclops lens over the crystal. All Oystersteel, black Cerachrom bezel, black Maxi dial. No precious metal, no color, no cyclops. This is the Submariner most collectors mean when they say they want a Submariner. We stand behind the counter at 19 West 47th Street and this is one of the most-requested steel Rolex references we handle, on both the buy side and the sell side.
Produced: 2020 to present. The 124060 replaced the 40mm reference 114060, which ran from 2012 to 2020.

Market & Value
MSRP sits around $10,050 following the January 2026 price adjustment, but retail availability at authorized dealers is thin and waitlists are the norm. On the secondary market the 124060 trades above retail. Clean pre-owned and unworn examples generally move in the $11,500 to $14,500 range depending on year, condition, box and papers, with active listings clustering around $12,000 to $14,000. It is one of the most liquid watches in the entire market: recent data has the 124060 selling in a median of about 17 days, faster than the vast majority of watches out there. Prices came off their 2022 peak like the rest of the steel-sport Rolex market, but the no-date Sub has held up better than most and the decline has flattened. When we quote this watch we are quoting from the buy side, because we write checks for these every week and we know exactly what a real one clears at.
What to Know Before You Buy
The no-date is the reference to buy if you want the purest Submariner design, and the symmetrical dial is the reason. No date window means no Cyclops bulge on the crystal and a perfectly balanced dial, which is why a lot of longtime collectors consider the no-date the 'correct' Submariner. Know the difference from the 116610 and 124060's date sibling, the 126610LN, which carries a date and Cyclops and costs more at retail. The 2020 redesign to 41mm is subtle: the case is a millimeter larger but the slimmer lugs make it wear close to the old 40mm, so do not let the number scare you off if you liked the 114060. Verify the Glidelock clasp works smoothly and the Cerachrom bezel action is crisp with no play. Full set with box, card and matching serial commands the strongest price; anything with an aftermarket bezel insert, polished-out lugs or a service dial needs to be priced accordingly. Serial and card date matter for warranty; Rolex runs a five-year international guarantee from date of purchase.
