Rolex Submariner Date Hulk 116610LV
Known as The Hulk
The 116610LV is the only Submariner Rolex ever built with both a green dial and a green bezel, and that single fact drives everything about how it trades. Rolex introduced it at Baselworld 2010 as the modern replacement for the 16610LV Kermit, which paired a green aluminum bezel with a black dial. The Hulk went all in on green: a green Cerachrom ceramic bezel insert and a bright sunburst green dial, both matched, in a 40mm 904L stainless steel case. It ran for a full ten years and was discontinued in 2020 when Rolex retired the entire 116610 generation. Rolex has not made an all-green Submariner since. That is why collectors keep coming back to this reference, and why we keep buying it at the counter.

Market & Value
This is a discontinued reference with a fixed supply, so the market sets the price, not Rolex. It launched at roughly $9,050 retail. During the 2021 to early 2022 run-up, clean examples pushed toward $30,000. The market has come off that peak. As of 2026 the Hulk generally trades in the $18,000 to $25,000 range, with unworn or near-mint pieces carrying full box and papers reaching $27,000 and up. That is still an 80 to 140 percent premium over its original retail. The successor, the 126610LV Starbucks, went back to the Kermit formula with a black dial and green bezel and trades lower, roughly $13,000 to $17,000, which keeps demand pointed at the true all-green Hulk. Value here lives in condition and completeness: original box, warranty card, unpolished case with sharp lugs, and matched full links all move the number. A 2010 to 2012 example with the earlier 'Mark 1' dial details and complete papers is the piece a serious buyer chases.
What to Know Before You Buy
Confirm the reference reads 116610LV, not 116610LN. The LN is the black dial and black bezel model and trades for less; the green LV is the Hulk. Check the case for over-polishing, the fastest way to kill value on a diver. Sharp, flat lug edges and crisp chamfers matter. The green Cerachrom bezel does not fade the way the old aluminum Kermit inserts did, so a dull or off-color bezel is a red flag worth a second look. Verify the Glidelock clasp works and the bracelet has all its links, since replacements are expensive and hurt resale. Box and papers, especially the original warranty card matching the serial, add real money on this reference. Serials run from random-letter cards in 2010 to 2011 into the later production years, and the case back is engraved with the Rolex crown pattern, not a clear back. If a seller cannot produce the card, price it as a watch-only piece.
