Rolex Datejust 41 126331

Known as Datejust 41 Everose Rolesor (steel and rose gold two-tone)

The 126331 is the two-tone Datejust 41 in Everose Rolesor: an Oystersteel case and bracelet married to 18k Everose gold on the fluted bezel, the winding crown, and the bracelet center links. Rolex introduced it in 2016 at Baselworld as part of the new-generation Datejust 41 family, replacing the older 41mm Datejust II with a slimmer, better-proportioned case and the modern caliber 3235. It sits between the all-steel 126300 and the solid-gold Day-Dates as the watch people reach for when they want warmth and presence without going full precious metal. Everose is Rolex's proprietary pink gold alloy, mixed in-house with a touch of platinum so the rose tone does not fade over the years the way older pink golds could. On the wrist a 126331 reads as a serious dress-sport watch: 41mm of case, a fluted rose bezel that throws light, and dial options that run from conservative silver to the collector-favorite green-on-slate Wimbledon.

Market & Value

US retail from Rolex currently runs about $17,550 for the standard steel-and-Everose configurations, up from roughly $16,950 earlier in the model's life as Rolex has walked list prices up. On the secondary market a 126331 trades close to retail, generally in the mid-$16,000s to low-$20,000s depending on dial, bracelet, and whether it comes complete with box and papers. The Wimbledon dial (slate grey, green Roman numerals) and diamond-dial pieces sit at the top of that band and are the ones that move fastest for us. Unlike the steel Datejust 36 or the stainless sport models, this two-tone reference is one you can usually buy at or slightly under list, which is exactly why it appeals to a collector who wants gold content without paying a hype premium. We watch these prices weekly because we write checks against them.

What to Know Before You Buy

Everose Rolesor is the tell on this reference: steel case and outer bracelet links, rose gold bezel, crown, and center links. That construction is what keeps the price sane relative to a solid-gold Day-Date while still giving you real 18k gold that shows on the wrist. Confirm the caliber 3235 (2016 and later); anything earlier 41mm two-tone is the discontinued Datejust II, a different and chunkier watch. On the dials, the Wimbledon and diamond-marker versions carry a premium and are the most requested, so match the exact dial and bracelet to the price you are quoted. Check the Easylink extension in the clasp and the condition of the polished Everose center links, since two-tone bracelets show wear differently than all-steel. Box, papers, and a legible serial matter here more than on a cheaper reference because the resale spread is tight.
