Rolex Datejust 41 126300
Known as Datejust 41
The 126300 is the all-Oystersteel Datejust 41 with a smooth polished bezel, the model that replaced the old Datejust II (116300) and became the plainest, cleanest, most wearable steel Datejust Rolex makes. Rolex introduced the Datejust 41 line in 2016 and added this smooth-bezel steel reference in 2017, moving it onto the caliber 3235 with a 70-hour power reserve. On 47th Street this is the watch that walks through our door more than almost any other Rolex: a graduate gift, a bonus purchase, a first serious watch. It has a 41mm case that wears closer to 40mm because of the slim profile, a huge menu of dials, and both the Oyster and Jubilee bracelet as factory options. If you want one steel Rolex that goes with a suit, a t-shirt, and everything in between, this is the reference collectors keep coming back to.
Produced: 2017 to present. The Datejust 41 collection launched in 2016; the smooth-bezel steel 126300 arrived in 2017 and remains in current production.

Market & Value
MSRP in the US sits around $7,900 to $8,250 depending on bracelet and dial. Pre-owned and unworn examples generally trade from about $9,000 to $13,000, with blue, mint green, and the slate Wimbledon dials pulling toward the top of that band. This is one of the most liquid Datejust references on the secondary market: WatchCharts data shows it selling in a median of roughly 26 days, faster than most watches tracked, with roughly 9 to 12 percent appreciation over recent one and five-year windows. What that means from the buy side is that we can quote it quickly and fairly because we know exactly where it moves. Wimbledon and blue dials on Jubilee are the easiest to place; less common dial-and-bracelet combinations take a touch longer but still clear.
What to Know Before You Buy
First, the bezel is the whole point of this reference. Smooth polished, no fluting, no white gold, which is what keeps the price at the bottom of the Datejust 41 ladder. If you want a fluted bezel you are looking at the 126334 (white gold fluted bezel) or 126333 (two-tone), both of which cost more. Second, dial and bracelet drive value more than anything else here since every 126300 shares the same case and movement. The Wimbledon slate dial with green Roman numerals is the collector favorite and commands a premium; blue and mint green are close behind. Third, the caliber 3235 with its 70-hour reserve is the modern movement, so a 126300 is a meaningfully better mechanical watch than the older 116300 it replaced, which used the 3136. Fourth, check the bracelet type against the price you are quoted: Jubilee and Oyster are both factory-correct, so neither is 'wrong,' but buyers have strong preferences and it affects resale. Full set with box, papers, and card always brings more.
