The Omega Speedmaster X-33 is the digital sibling in a family famous for its analog moonwatch. Where the classic Speedmaster Professional is a hand-wound mechanical chronograph, the X-33 is a thermo-compensated multifunction quartz watch built around a titanium case and a genuine astronaut brief. Omega launched it on March 28, 1998 at NASA's Johnson Space Center in Houston, developed with input from astronauts and cosmonauts who needed a wrist instrument that could juggle three time zones, mission timers, countdowns, and a loud alarm they could actually hear inside a pressurized suit or a noisy spacecraft.
